The Solid Miners’ forward has asserted that he is certain it won’t take long for his team to recover from their recent defeat

Nasarawa United striker, Abdulrahman Bashir has predicted a swift comeback from their latest defeat to Rivers United in the league tie played on Saturday in Port Harcourt in the first game of the second round matches.

Ayo Saka scored the only goal of the match in the 38th minute to hand a crucial three point to the Pride of Rivers and Bashir who watched in vain as the Solid Miners were pinned by the lone goal stated that the loss was only a temporary setback and that they will bounce back from the loss in their next match.

“We tried our best and actually thought we would pick at least a point from the encounter. We will naturally feel dejected that we lost despite the way we played but the consolation is that we played very well and will get better in our next matches. We matched them in all departments of the game and deserve better than the loss,” Bashir told Goal.

“We need to go back home and start preparation for our home tie with Wikki Tourists. There won’t be any easy match this second round and our target will be to do all within reach to ensure that we keep getting results both home and away from now henceforth.”
