Bartra: Del Bosque the right man for Spain

The defender says he is revelling in the confidence being shown in him by the coach and believes there is not a better man for the job

Marc Bartra says Spain boss Vicente del Bosque remains the right man to lead his nation into Euro 2016.

The coach was criticised after La Roja's shock group stage exit at World Cup 2014, but retained his job and has since secured his nation place at next summer's tournament in France.

Speaking after Spain's 4-0 win over Luxembourg in their penultimate qualifier - which leaves them top of Group C with 24 points from nine games - Bartra voiced his support for his coach.port for his coach.


"To this day there is no better coach than him who could be here. The confidence of Del Bosque has made me grow more and more," he told Goal .

Gerard Pique was again booed by his own supporters on Friday night but Bartra avoided being dragged into the debate regarding his Barcelona team-mate's relationship with Spain fans.

"At the end of the day the team won the game. The game went well. Other incidents I think we have to treat separately.
