Bartholomew Ogbeche netted a brace in Willem II's 3-1 victory over Heracles in Saturday’s Dutch Eredivisie encounter.

Fran Sol gave the hosts the lead in the fourth minute and the Nigeria forward doubled the Tricolores’ advantage nine minutes later.

The former Real Valladolid and Middlesbrough marksman got his second of the game in the 21st minute as Erwin van de Looi’s side took a three-goal advantage into the half-time interval.

However, Sebastian Jakubiak pulled a goal back for Heraclieden with four minutes left to play but it turned out to be nothing but a consolation as the hosts ran out worthy winners.

Ogbeche’s brace in the clash takes his tally to six league goals in four appearances for Willem II so far this season, following his hat-trick against Venlo last weekend.

The win sees Van de Looi’s side climb up to 14th in the Dutch Eredivisie standings, having garnered 14 points from 14 games played so far.

And the 33-year-old will look to continue his rich vein of form when the Tricolores host NAC Breda on December 8.
