Everything you need to know ahead of the Catalans' La Liga encounter at the Vicente Calderon on Sunday

Barcelona will look to put pressure on Real Madrid at the top of the Primera Division by beating Atletico in the capital on Sunday.

Madrid's 2-1 defeat at Valencia on Wednesday means Zinedine Zidane's side still lead La Liga by a single point, while they also have a game in hand, but a win for Luis Enrique's men at the Vicente Calderon would see the Blaugrana move provisionally into top spot - with Real in action at Villarreal later on Sunday.

The Catalans are reeling from their recent 4-0 loss at Paris Saint-Germain last week, but did manage a last-gasp 2-1 in La Liga at home to Leganes on Sunday to keep their title hopes alive.

BARCELONA INJURIES

Aleix Vidal is sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering a horrific ankle injury in the recent win at Alaves. The former Sevilla right-back is likely to be out for five months and Barca are allowed to sign a replacement if they so decide.

Javier Mascherano is a doubt for the game against Diego Simeone's side after a spell out, but Arda Turan could return after missing the last two weeks through injury.

BARCELONA SUSPENSIONS

Sergio Busquets was suspended for the game against Leganes last weekend, but the midfielder returns on Sunday and Luis Enrique has no other players banned for the trip to the Vicente Calderon.

BARCELONA POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Luis Enrique is set to name a strong side for the trip to Atletico Madrid in La Liga on Sunday - the last time Barcelona will play a league game at the Vicente Calderon before the stadium is knocked down later this year.

With Javier Mascherano doubtful and Aleix Vidal sidelined, there will be few susprises in the defence as Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti are all likely to start.

In midfield, Arda Turan could return against his former club, but will probably have to settle for a place on the bench, with either Ivan Rakitic or Andre Gomes alongside Sergio Busquets (back from suspension) and Andres Iniesta.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar will be together in attack as well, while Luis Enrique could use this fixture to try out the 4-2-3-1 formation he is looking at ahead of the return against Paris Saint-Germain next month.
