Bandari FC qualified for 2017 GOtv Shield round of 16 after defeating Gor Mahia  7-6 on post match penalties on Sunday.

The two teams had tied 1-1 in normal time but the Dockers sailed through after winning in the dramatic shootout. With majority of the top tier side making it to the next phase, the Dockers chances of making it to the quarter-finals are slim. However, that is not a concern for ex-Sofapaka defender Felly Mulumba, who believes his team has what it takes to progress.

"You do not expect to play easier teams at this stage, and Bandari being one of the teams that qualified, it means we are a strong team. As a matter of fact, we are not scared of facing any team. We are ready, because as usual, to be the best you have to beat the best," Mulumba told Goal.

"Our match against Gor Mahia was a tough one but we managed to go through, and we want to go all the way to the finals."

The coastal-based side might face Sofapaka, AFC Leopards, Kariobangi Sharks, Tusker FC or Nakumatt.
