Bafana Bafana striker Singh joins Sporting Braga first team

South Africa international Luther Singh has reportedly been promoted to the Sporting Braga first team.

The teenage sensation signed for the Portuguese Primeira Liga side on 21 January 2017 after his contract with Swedish outfit GAIS expired.

Singh has since represented South Africa at the Caf Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals in Zambia and Fifa U20 World Cup finals in South Korea.

The Portuguese publication Correio do Minho has reported that the Stars of Africa academy product has started training with the Braga first team.

"Coach Abel Ferreira had one more player in the group with the arrival of Luther Singh, the 19-year-old South African striker of the B team, who was called to do this preparation phase in the Braga's main squad. 

"Luther's arrival has increased the number of players to 30 who are currently on orders from Abel Ferreira at the Municipal Stadium," a statement read.

The promising striker will be hoping to impress the first team head coach Ferreira ahead of the 2017/18 Primeira Liga campaign.
