Tanzanian giants Azam FC have signed Ghana Team B goalkeeper Razak Abalora from Wafa in a three-year deal, both clubs have officially announced.
The 20-year-old has had a fantastic season in the Ghana Premier League with the Sogakope-based club, as they currently sit second on the log, one point behind Aduana Stars, with two games in hand.
Abalora became the first-choice at Wafa in 2016 after Felix Annan was recalled from his loan spell at Wafa by Asante Kotoko and has seized the position despite competitions from Philimon McCarthy and Richmond Ayi. He has played 22 games this season and leads the log of goalkeepers with most clean sheets with 12 clean, two more than Annan.
"Azam are happy announce the signing of Ghana goalkeeper Razak Abalora. He joins the club from Wafa and has signed a three-year deal with us. We wish him all the best in his stay in Tanzania," a club's statement read. Abalora was the first-choice in Ghana's senior national team B. He has become the sixth Ghanaian player at Azam after former Kotoko striker Yahaya Mohammed, Yakubu Mohammed, Samuel Afful, Enoch Atta Agyei and Daniel Amoah.
Wafa goalkeeper Razak Abalora has joined Tanzanian giants Azam FC until 2020.
