Ayew lauds West Ham’s win over Tottenham

The 27-year-old has applauded the Hammers after they served a shocking defeat to Spurs to progress to the next round of the EFL Cup

Andre Ayew has lauded West Ham's ‘great team spirit’ following their 3-2 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Wednesday's English Football League Cup outing.

Slaven Bilic’s men fought back from a 2-0 deficit to upset Mauricio Pochettino’s side to book their place in the next round of the competition.

The Ghana international scored a brace to level proceedings before Angelo Ogbonna scored the decisive goal.

And he has taken to the social media to hail his team for the feat, while also reserving praise for their supporters.

“Thank you God. Great team spirit. Great fans," Ayew wrote on Instagram.
