There's nothing to separate the German top flight's best two marksmen after Gamesweek 26

Borussia Dortmund attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took his tally to 24 goals in 24 appearances as he opened the scoring in the Revierderby on Saturday.

The Gabon hitman opened the scoring as Dortmund drew 1-1 with Schalke in a Bundesliga match played at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, but the Royal Blues rescued a point through youngster Thilo Kehrer who bagged his first senior goal for the club.

Ten minutes into the second half, Ousmane Dembele cleverly evaded a few challenges and slipped in Shinji Kagawa, who drew Schalke’s goalkeeper off the line and unselfishly laid it on for Aubameyang to tap into the empty net his 24th Bungendesliga goal on his 24th appearance of the campaign.

Auba has now scored seven goals in his last five league outings for Dortmund, and celebrated his latest strike in style, even if Aubameyang's Nike mask does risk getting him in hot water.

The result sees Dortmund drop below Hoffenheim in the table and they are now 18 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.

Bayern walked out 6-0 winners at home to strugglers Augsburg with Auba’s biggest rival in the scoring charts - Robert Lewandoski - netting a hat-trick to draw level with the Central African at the top of the scoring charts.

The Polish hitman has scored 24 goals in 26 appearances.
