The 25-year-old wants his outfit to leave no stone unturned in the fight for first tier football

Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu is determined to see his club earn promotion back to the English Premier League.

The Magpies are in good position to claim one of three available promotion slots as they currently sit top, with 10 points above second-placed Brighton and Hove Albion and third-positioned Huddersfield Town respectively.

“We have seven more games to play and we have to focus on each one," Atsu told The Chronicle.

“We are happy to get the win against Wigan [on Saturday].

“No game will be easy for us in the run-in.

“Whenever you get the opportunity, you must give it your best shot.

“I am happy that the team won, which is more important.

“Now, we need to get the rest of the points we need.”
