The Porcupine Warriors new striker finally arrived in Kumasi on transfer deadline day and has vowed to help the club recover from their poor run

Richard Arthur believes he has made the right decision following his short-term loan deal from Wa All Stars to Asante Kotoko ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League season.

The 22-year-old joins the Kumasi-giants as they seek for remedy to their ailing campaign, having gone eight games without a win and dropping six places to seventh position.

“It is my pleasure to play for Kotoko. I will put the best of efforts as a new player to help the club [achieve their aim for the season],” Arthur told Sports Crusader.

“With the support of the entire Kotoko family and determination, I am sure things will be very fine for me at the club. The fans and the technical team should keep the belief they have in me and I will not disappoint at all. All I need is the support and prayers from the supporters of the club.

“It has been my dream to play for Kotoko at one stage of my career and I am happy to have made that possible because it is the right decision,” he added.

Aside Arthur, Collins Ameyaw and Augustine Sefah have joined Kotoko and are expected to play their debut game when they travel to Accra to face Tema Youth FC in matchday 16 after the league returns from the break in a fortnight.
