Arsenal face Benfica in north London on Saturday afternoon in their opening fixture of this season's Emirates Cup.
The Gunners had mixed fortunes in the International Champions Cup earlier this month, enjoying a penalty shoot-out win against Bayern Munich before being brought back to earth with a bump after suffering a thumping 3-0 loss against Chelsea.
With the start of the new Premier League season just two weeks away, Arsene Wenger's men will be determined to make their mark in this - their home tournament - and the Premier League side are strongly fancied to begin with victory against their Portuguese opponents.
Benfica have had mixed results during their pre-season preparations thus far. Wins against Neuchatel Xamax and Real Betis came either side of a crushing 5-1 loss against Young Boys, while Rui Vitoria's outfit suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hull City last weekend.
The Portuguese champions know, therefore, that they will have to up their game if they are to make much of an impact in north London this weekend, with Benfica also set to face Red Bull Leipzig in the competition on Sunday. There is 9/2 (5.50) that Benfica claim victory from Saturday's game against the Gunners.
Arsenal are also in action on Sunday - against Sevilla - so neither of these two teams are likely to be at full strength for this fixture and the match may lack the intensity that would normally be expected in a clash between the sides.
As such, the 6/4 (2.50) quote for fewer than three goals to be scored could well prove popular with punters, with 5/4 (2.25) that either side fails to find the net - both teams were off target in their most recent respective matches.
Arsenal, stung by that bitterly disappointing defeat against Chelsea, will feel that they have a point to prove and, in front of their home supporters for the first time since the final Premier League fixture of last season, Wenger's men could well be more motivated than Vitoria's team.
The 13/10 (2.30), therefore, for the Gunners to lead at both half time and full time could offer decent value for punters looking to pick up a profit from Saturday's Emirates Cup action.
