Arsenal Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Sunderland

Everything you need to know ahead of the Premier League match at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday

"Our chances depend on winning our games. We have 69 points, we can get to 75. That will be four points more than last year, so let’s focus on finishing as well as we can. We have created a momentum again. We had a difficult period and we recovered from it. The only chance we have to be in the top four is to win our games."

Arsene Wenger took his Arsenal team to Stoke on Saturday as the Gunners kept up their chase for a top four spot with an impressive 4-1 win, but it could be too little too late if Liverpool and Manchester City win their remaining fixtures this season.

Guardiola hits out at Wenger claims

Wenger's side dismantled Stoke at a place where they have traditionally found it hard to get three points from over the years, and they need to make sure they win their final two home games against Sunderland and Everton if they want to be in with a shout of qualifying for European football.

Sunderland have failed to score in 10 of their last 15 Premier League away matches and Arsenal will be confident of securing victory over Moyes' men, even if they have several injury worries ahead of the match.

ARSENAL INJURIES

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny are doubts for Tuesday's game but Wenger remains optimistic that the Chilean will pass a late fitness test.

"We have a little problem with Koscielny from the Stoke game. We’ll see how he has recovered today. Everybody else should be available," said the Arsenal boss. "I left Gibbs behind on Saturday but he is available again. Oxlade-Chamberlain is still out.

Where will Kolasinac fit at Arsenal?

"Alexis Sanchez will have a test today. Yesterday it didn’t look too good, but with him you never know. He’s so keen. Maybe it was just a kick. It could be a possibility that he recovers for tomorrow."

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out until the FA Cup final while Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Santi Cazorla long-term absentees.

ARSENAL SUSPENSIONS

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.

ARSENAL POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Hector Bellerin will continue in the right wing back role while Wenger has a decision on his hands over whether to start Danny Welbeck or Olivier Giroud after the latter's goalscoring performance against Stoke on Sunday.

Wenger questions Chelsea style

Wenger is likely to stick Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Laurent Koscielny in defence while in the centre of midfield Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey could partner each other following the Welshman's impressive cameo at the bet365 Stadium.

Kieran Gibbs has returned to full training following an injury problem but it is likely that Nacho Monreal will start at left wing back.

David Moyes Sunderland Premier League

Already relegated Sunderland come into Tuesday night's game with just two Premier League victories to their name in 2017 and their final matches of the domestic season are against Arsenal and newly crowned champions Chelsea.

Jason Denayer and Victor Anichebe suffered injuries in the recent loss to Swansea, while George Honeyman is also a doubt, prompting Moyes to suggest that he may have to "take the kids" for the match.

"Many of them probably believe they have futures elsewhere but you have to perform on the pitch to do that. The last two games are a chance to show they can play on the stages like the Emirates and Stamford Bridge.

"It has been a horrible season because of the outcome. We have said we are really disappointed by it.  We have made everyone well aware our squad was short from the start, we would also have liked to have added in January. We were always playing catch up."

Jermain Defoe is their top scorer with 15 goals this season.
