The former Saints midfielder was replaced by Hector Bellerin during the first half at St. Mary's and could now be a doubt for the rest of the season

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been forced off with an apparent hamstring injury during Arsenal's clash with Southampton.

Szczesny should be Arsenal's No.1

The England international was forced off during the first half of the match at the St. Mary's Stadium, with Hector Bellerin on in his place.

Having been a bit part player for the Gunners during the first half of the campaign, Oxlade-Chamberlain has become a regular for Arsene Wenger in recent weeks.

The decision to switch to a 3-4-3 system has seen him prefered to Bellerin at right wing-back, but he could now miss the final weeks of the Premier League season as well as the FA Cup final.

Goal  understands Liverpool are monitoring his situation regarding his future as they look to bring in a winger during the summer transfer window.
