Arsenal are targeting Lille and France full-back Sebastien Corchia as a potential summer signing target.

Ozil: I won't change my style

The 26-year-old has been one of the outstanding right-backs in Ligue 1 for several years now, and Goal understands that the Premier League side are considering a summer move.

Corchia is believed to have ambitions to play European football next season, but with that looking unlikely at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, he is ready to depart a year before his contract expires.

Having come through the academy at Le Mans, where he made his professional debut, Corchia spent time at Sochaux before moving to Lille, for whom he is expected to play his 100th top-flight match at the weekend.

The former France Under-21 captain, who has played over 300 Ligue 1 games, is regarded as a player capable at both ends of the field. While he offers offensive quality when he goes forward, he is, nevertheless, someone who likes to ensure his defensive duties are fulfilled first and foremost.

Arsene Wenger’s men, meanwhile, hold an interest in bolstering this particular area of their side.

Hector Bellerin has been targeted by Barcelona and, should he depart for Spain, their interest in the once-capped France man would only increase.

However, the Gunners will allow Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy, another former Lille player, to move on during the summer transfer period, which means they may well look to sign in this sector.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is an internal solution for the Emirates outfit, but the versatile youngster could well be moved out on loan in order to gain first-team experience.
