Arsenal have become one of the first Premier League clubs to donate signed memorabilia to an auction which will raise proceeds for the family of Ryan McBride.

McBride, who was captain of League of Ireland club Derry City, was found dead at his home in Derry two weeks ago at the age of 27 - just a day after leading the club to victory over Drogheda United.

His passing has sent shockwaves through the Irish football community, prompting an outpouring of grief and a tribute was held before the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Wales on Friday.

The Gunners were one of the first Premier League clubs to post a tribute to McBride via Twitter and Goal can reveal that the north London giants have now sent a football signed by first team players to help raise funds for the family.
