Gor Mahia will convene a meeting to talk about the team’s performance and the way forward ahead of the league kick-off.
So far, K’Ogalo have failed in all their pre-season matches; the latest being the painful 2-0 defeat to Ugandan Premier League side Onduparaka FC at Nelson Mandela stadium in Uganda on Saturday.
Chairman Ambrose Rachier, who sounded concerned about the team’s direction, told Goal that they will hold a committee meeting next week, from which, a decision will be made on whether to make changes on the technical bench or not.
“We are going to plan on how to participate in the season. We’ll have a committee meeting next week to finalize on everything including changes in the technical bench (if there will be any).”
Is this the start of the end of Ze Maria’s tenure at Gor Mahia? The Brazilian landed the job following the exit of Frank Nuttal at the start of 2016 and guided the Green Army to a second place finish. More is expected from him this season especially with the kind of players he signed in January and losing day in day out in friendly matches can only hurt many fans and stakeholders.
