Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah is not bothered by complaints about his decision to overlook brothers Andre and Jordan Ayew in his last two selections.
The duo have not received a call-up since controversially pulling out of the 2018 World Cup qualifier second leg against Congo in September on health grounds.
Both returned to club action few days after pulling out, which observers suspect may not have gone down well with the Black Stars trainer.
"Whoever I call, people will complain so that is something I am used to," Appiah told KweseESPN.
"There are so many players doing very well and there is no way I can call up everyone.
"The most important thing is that I need to make the right calls with what is ultimately good for this team as the major guide, and not allow what people complain about to influence it.
"If I am to bother about that then I will be calling up about 100 players."
In his bid to increase competition and the talent pool of the Black Stars, Appiah's call-ups have each featured a considerable number of new faces.
His 'bulk invites', as has been described, have earned him a lot of stick.
A media publication after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Egypt, however, quoted the 57-year-old as saying the door will be shut on new additions in 2018.
"I have not said that I won't invite new players from next year," Appiah clarifies.
"What I have kept saying is that I will stop the bulk invitations per match, and limit it to one or two who are outstanding at club level.
"Whether you are building a team or have one in place, there is no way you can shut the door completely on new players.
"But it is also true that as a coach you need a core group you work with and the plan is to get that as quickly as possible next year."
Ghana return to action against Kenya in March next year in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
