Angola’s Igor Vetokele scores in Sint-Truiden victory over Gent

Igor Vetokele scored as Sint-Truiden recorded a hard fought 3-2 win over Gent in their Belgian Jupiler pro-league season opener on Sunday.

Franko Andrijasevic opened the scoring for the visitors with 39 minutes played. The Angola international who is on loan from English side Charlton Athletic then opened his scoring account for the season as he equalized for his side 18 minutes into the second half.

Cristian Ceballos then put the hosts ahead after 72 minutes but the Ghent based outfit was back level just three minutes later thanks to Samuel Gigot.

Ceballos then grabbed his second and the third for his side in the 88th minute to ensure the Sint-Truiden based side start their campaign on a winning note.

Tintin Marquez’ side head to the Regenboogstadion to face Zulte Waregem on August 5th.
