Ambrose Rachier will continue to serve as Gor Mahia chairman after winning a case filed to challenge his re-election.

Sports Tribunal on Tuesday dismissed a case filed by Dan Oketch, who lost to Rachier during the polls. Oketch was hoping to convince Tribunal chairman John Ohanga to convene for fresh elections and allow some 1,564 voters, who were locked out during the exercise to take part in the process.

However, The Tribunal argued that the said voters (1,564) did not prove membership hence the decision to dismiss the case. “We have dismissed the case because the 1564 petitioners did not prove membership and thus Rachier continues to be club chairman.”
