Alliance closer to Ligi Kuu promotion


Alliance increased their hope for the promotion on Friday after beating Pamba FC 2-0 at Nyamagana Stadium on Friday.

Dickson Ambundo’s brace in the late minutes was enough to give Alliance FC the much needed victory.

Ambundo opened his goal account in the 76th minute and he was again on target in the 84th minute. Alliance FC Head Coach, Mbwana Makata congratulated his players for the victory and added they deserved the win though both goals came in the late minutes.

The former KMC, Rhino Rangers, Kagera Sugar and Tanzania Prisons coach, said they will resume training on Monday so as to prepare for their last match against JKT Oljoro next weekend.

Makata called upon football stakeholders and fans in Mwanza region to continue to support their team until their last match. Alliance FC are now second placed with 25 points after 13 outings, They have won eight, drew one and lost four matches.

Alliance FC have netted twenty two and conceded ten goals. Biashara Mara are still leading Group C with 27 points, they now need atleast a draw in their last match against Transit camp. A draw will see them promoted to the Premier League next season.
