All Stars coach frowns at negative criticism

Coach Stanley Okumbi feels that fans should take positives from All Stars' 2-1 defeat against Hull City

Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi says sometimes positives should be taken from any match played, and not negatively criticize every decision made.

The former Mathare United coach was on the touchline as the KPL All Stars team fell 2-1 to a Hull City's development side on Monday. Okumbi was impressed with the team and said he, alongside the players, have taken home a lot.

"Sometimes we look at the negative side instead of looking at the positives, we tend to criticize in a way that does not build a team. That will not help, it will just demoralize the players, we need to support them and do something that is constructive.

"It was a good game and we have taken a lot of positives from it, we will implement some when we get back home."

Tusker midfielder Humphrey Mieno became the first player to score for a Kenyan team on an English soil.
