Al Jazira eye AGL supremacy with Al Sharjah win

Al Jazira's winning streak put them in an opportune position to run away with AGL lead

Saturday’s Arabian Gulf League action will be a golden opportunity for Al Jazira to bolster their position in the lead of the Emirati topflight with a win over Al Sharjah especially as third-placed Al Ain will be playing second-placed Al Ahli.

Al Jazira moved 6 points clear of Al Ahli with their latest win against under-performing Al Ain, and will try to capitalize on Al Sharjah’s latest mediocre form that got them 3 points out of their latest 5 fixtures.

Henk tin Cate stated: “We’re living the league dream, I don’t want to see anything but the podium in the end of the season, and I must thank my players for putting us where we are right now.”
