The midfielder says they want to win to make the fans happy at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday

New Hearts of Oak signing Malik Akowuah believes the club will break their winless run in the Ghana Premier League when they host reigning champions Wa All Stars on Sunday.

The Phobians currently sit ninth on the table after drawing all three games thus far.

The Accra-based side played out scoreless draws with Inter Allies and Medeama, before holding Ebusua Dwarfs to a 1-1 stalemate on Wednesday.

“Our fans are not happy," Akowuah told Ghana Sports

"I know they are expecting a lot from us. I know it was their wish to see us on top of the table by this time.

“We have three points so far. We have not lost a game. I want them to come in their numbers on Sunday and support us to victory.

“We want to win for them. Without the supporters, we can’t perform, so they have to come and support us to victory.
