‘The Yak’ replaced Kwame in the 68th minute for his first appearance for the team – and showed flashes of his old self but was unfortunate not to have registered his name of the scorers’ sheet.
His 80th minute effort was saved by Stuart Nelson after a he was assisted by Dion Kelly-Evans. Seven minutes later, his header crept wide the goal post after a fine delivery from Andy Rose.
Despite the victory, Coventry City remain at the base of the table with 25 points from 32 games. They host fellow relegation strugglers Swindon Town in their next game on February 25.
