Nacer Chadli has lauded Ahmed Hegazi’s stellar performances for West Bromwich Albion and labels him ‘a great player’.
The Egypt international, on loan from Al Ahly, has hit the ground running in his second stint in European football under Tony Pulis following an underwhelming three-year spell at Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A.
Hegazi’s impressive displays at the heart of the Baggies' defence has earned high praise from the 28-year-old winger, who is in awe of the towering defender's abilities.
“Ahmed is a great player,” Chadli told Express and Star.
“He’s very strong in the air, has good feet, he’s intelligent, and can be very dangerous at set pieces and score goals.
“He’s a very good player for us to have.
“It’s important to keep everybody fit and we’re counting on him.
Hegazi will be looking to put in another impressive shift when West Brom welcomes high flying Manchester City to the Hawthorns on Saturday.
