AFC Leopards now demand ‘rebels’ to apologise in writing

AFC Leopards have demanded two players, who handed in transfer requests, to apologize to the club.

Defender Dennis Sikhayi and midfielder Duncan Otieno have reportedly tabled a request to be released by Ingwe so as to sign for rivals Gor Mahia ahead of next season.

The two are said to have handed in transfer requests just a day after guiding Harambee Stars to Cecafa success. A top Ingwe official has revealed to Goal that they will not release the players and that they must apologise for demanding to leave The Den.

“We have asked both players to apologise in writing.

"We have also categorically told them they will not be allowed to leave. We have already forwarded their names to Caf and we will not give in to their demands.”

Ingwe have since slapped a Sh10million price tag on Sikhayi, who still has one year remaining on his contract.
