The Kakamega High School alumni has been one of a few shining light in a struggling Leopards team, a thing that has ensured he earns a call up to the national team.
Despite not making an appearance, Ingwe skipper is thankful for the opportunity and faith shown to him by head coach Stanley Okumbi.
"Definitely I would have loved to play for my team that is Harambee Stars, unfortunately, it did not happen; I think it is because of the two forced subs that came around following injuries sustained on the pitch.
“All in all I am happy to have been part of the team, I have really learned a lot,” Otieno told Goal.
"I will continue working harder to ensure opportunities like this do not pass me, the competition is stiff but I will always give my best."
An immediate task for Otieno is to help his team bag maximum points when they face Zoo Kericho this weekend.
