AFC Leopards coach happy with GOtv Shield progress

Goals from Joshua Mawira and Aziz Okaka ensured that Ingwe booked their place in the last 16 of the tournament

AFC Leopards interim coach Tom Juma has lauded his charges following an impressive 2-0 win against Nairobi Stima in GOtv Shield on Saturday.

"Also, we’ve been unable to score when it matters. This time round it was different. We wanted to settle early and kill the game in the first half. I am happy it worked and we managed to win.

"I am happy with the players we signed. It definitely takes time before they settle, but signs are good. Once they settle fully, we will be a formidable side," Juma told Goal.

After a good run in the Shield, Ingwe will turn their attention to Kenyan Premier League next weekend.
