AFC Leopards ace motivated by Harambee Stars debut

Duncan Otieno made his national team debut on Tuesday against Malawi

AFC Leopards midfielder Duncan Otieno is aiming at hitting greater heights this season after making his debut in Harambee Stars jersey on Tuesday.

The lanky midfielder impressed in a 0-0 draw against Malawi as coach Stanley Okumbi builds a team for the upcoming Chan 2018 tournament. He is happy with his display and he is now targeting a regular berth.

"It is a dream come true for me, it has taken some time but I am happy it has finally happened. This type of motivation makes one work harder and ensure he remains in head coach's plans for the future. As always I will double my efforts to ensure I qualify for selection.

"My immediate plan is to continue working hard for my club (AFC Leopards) and help it challenge for the top positions in the league," he told Goal.

It was Harambee Stars' eleventh outing without a defeat in all competitions.
