Al Ahli midfielder Everton Ribeiro has been named the winner of the Goal of the Week award for the 2017 AFC Champions League Matchday Four after a public vote amongst the fans on the Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) social media networks.

The Brazilian scored with a free-kick from an impossible angle to give Al Ahli a 2-0 lead in the final minute of the first half in their enounter with Al Taawoun.

The UAE outfit went on to win the game 3-1 away from home at the Lokomotiv Stadium in Tashkent.

Ribeiro's free-kick helped them seal the win that took them to the top of Group A level on points with Iranian side Esteghlal FC who they face next in Tehran on April 25.

The 28-year-old has scored four goals and provided seven assists for his team so far this season.

The Al Ahli player beat stiff competition for the Goal of the Week prize from Nam Tae-hee (Lekhwiya), Lee Seok-hyun (FC Seoul) and Kim Jae-sung (Adelaide United).
