AE Larissa midfielder Masalesa reveals growing interest in his services

The former South Africa youth international disclosed that there is a lot of interest from clubs looking to sign him

AE Larissa midfielder Lehlogonolo Masalesa has indicated that he might not return to the Greek club.

The central midfielder hit the ground running after joining Larissa as a free agent last December.

This was after Masalesa was released by Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates.

Masalesa, who was a regular, helped Larissa survive relegation from the Greek Super League.

"I don’t want to say much," Masalesa told the South African Football  Association (Safa)'s official website.

"But I can proudly say there is something cooking in the oven – in fact there is a lot of interest," he said,

"But sometimes it’s better to keep quite and let things unfold in their own pace. There are a lot of possibilities," he stressed.

"I could go back to my current club or I may not. But in due time all will be revealed," he concluded.

The 25-year-old player made 14 league appearances for Larissa between January and May 2017.

As a result, Masalesa has been called up by South Africa head coach Stuart Baxter ahead of the 2017 Cosafa Cup in North West.
