The Ghanaian champions are confirmed for a travel to Madagascar in the playoff round of the continental inter-club competition

Ghana's only survivors in Africa, Aduana Stars, have been pitted against Fosa Juniors of Madagascar in the playoff round of the 2018 Caf Confederation Cup.

The development is a result of a draw held on Wednesday.

The two sides will face off in April for a place in the group stage. The Ghanaians will host the first leg.

Aduana are set to play their first game in the competition as they had until this round competed in the Caf Champions League.

A 4-1 aggregate defeat to Algerian outfit ES Setif on Sunday kicked the Dormaa-based side out of the elite competition.

And per Caf rules, all losers in the first round of the Champions League get a second chance to make an impression in Africa, but this time only in the less glamorous Confederation Cup.

Fosa Juniors, meanwhile, beat AS Port-Louis 2000 of Mauritius 3-0 on aggregate in the Confederation Cup first round to make the playoffs.

It is their first time of playing a Caf inter-club competition.
