Adebayor stars as Istanbul Basaksehir whitewash Antalyaspor

The Togo international scored and assisted with another as Abdullah Avcı’s men breezed past the Scorpions at Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu

Emmanuel Adebayor was among the goals as Istanbul Basaksehir demolish Antalyaspor 4-0 in Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig encounter.

The 34-year-old was on hand to help Abdullah Avcı’s men stretch their winning run to three games having defeated Akhisarspor and BB Erzurumspor.

The former Arsenal striker found the net in the 88th minute to seal a comfortable victory for the Istanbul outfit after assisting Stefano Napoleoni for the second goal.

Edin Visca got the curtain raiser eight minutes into the game after he was fed by Irfan Kahveci. The 23-year-old then scored a goal of his own in the 72nnd minute.

Adebayor who featured from start to finish now has two goals in four league games.

Basaksehir sit third in the log with 12 points from five outings and will be hoping to continue their winning run when they clash with Bursaspor on September 21.
