The Ghana international is delighted by their stunning away victory in Major League Soccer on Saturday

Chicago Fire attacker David Accam is excited to have seen his solitary goal propel his side to victory on Saturday.

The Ghanaian struck in the 52nd minute to hand the Men in Red a 1-0 away win over DC United in Major League Soccer.

The triumph at the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington was Fire's first road win of the season and their first since August 2016.

"For me, it feels good because now we believe that we can win any game," Accam said.

"For us to come here and play the way we played is amazing.

"On a different day, I think we'd score like two or three goals because we played very well and for me the way we played is the best thing about today."

Saturday's three points also marked Fire's third consecutive league win for the first time since 2015.

"It's huge now - the confidence is huge now because we feel like we can beat anyone in this league and also control the game as well," Accam said.

"Today, we did, we controlled the game and we won today.

"Win every game. Especially playing at home, we don't care - anyone we play at home, we will try to win every game and that's what we will do."
