The defender is confident his side are ready to pick maximum points against Nigerian topflight current table toppers on Sunday

Chima Uluocha says Abia Warriors are scared of table-toppers Plateau United ahead of their Nigeria Professional Football League table clash at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.

Coming from a 2-1 defeat to their City rivals, Enyimba FC in their last outing, coach Abdullahi Biffo’s men will be gunning for their 10th win this season, and the defender claims they are battle ready for the Jos-based outfit.

He insists that plans are already in place to stop Kennedy Boboye’s men from playing their style of football, adding that their defeat to the People’s Elephants has helped them correct their errors in the last game.

"We are prepared for them, though we know they are the current league leaders but that does not mean we will be scared of them," Uluocha told Goal.

"We have played them before and we know their style so we have been training on how to stop them from playing their game, and we hope to beat them at the end of the game.

"Our last defeat to Enyimba will not affect our performance this weekend as we continue to fight for continental ticket next season.

Abia are currently 12th on the table with 32 points from 24 games, and Uluocha says picking one of the continental tickets remain their sole target for the ongoing Nigerian topflight season.
