The Ucendu Babes defender will not be available for the Sunday meeting with the Pride of Benue owing to suspension

Abia Warriors’ Abiodun Adebayo is ruled out of Sunday's tie with Lobi Stars  after the defender picked a fifth yellow card last weekend.

Adebayo got booked as the Ucendu Babes were held to a goalless draw by FC IfeanyiUbah.

Thus, the defender will miss the encounter against Solomon Ogbeide's men.

“We are not going to travel without Adebayo because he is on five yellow cards and he will miss a match. He got the last yellow card in our home match with FC IfeanyiUbah. ,” Biffo told Goal.

"We will do everything possible to ensure that we do well in Makurdi and we have an adequate replacement for the ineligible player.

“We will be putting ourselves in a position we did envisage for ourselves at the beginning of the season if we lose in Makurdi and we are doing everything possible to ensure that we return to Umuahia with a positive result.

“We have all our players ready for the tie and we do not have any major injury doubt. Chima Oluocha is doing well and the only reason he has played that much recently is because he just came back from injury and we are trying to gradually ease back into the game without any relapse of his former injury," he added.

Abia Warriors are 15th in the league table with 41 points from 32 matches.
