The Phobians midfielder insists the Black Stars will qualify to the Chan tournament holding next year in Kenya

Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey is confident the Black Stars B will qualify ahead of Burkina Faso in the 2018 Chan qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.

Maxwell Konadu's men settled for a 2-2 away stalemate against the Stallions last weekend in the first leg and need to avoid a defeat or a draw above two goals each to make it.

"We are not only hoping to win but we are sure to qualify for the Chan [tournament on Sunday] against Burkina Faso," Abbey told Graphic Sports.

"After playing against them last week, we know their strength and weaknesses so we will overpower them at all cost.

"Coach Maxwell Konadu has been talking to us since we returned from Ouagadougou and he has challenged us to psyche ourselves for a win, so I can say that we are ready to face them," he added.

Burkina Faso arrived in Ghana on Thursday and held their official training session at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday as mandated by Caf.
