Following March's thrashing of San Marino and a draw away to Montenegro, the Three Lions have dropped three places, while Croatia rise by five to fourth in the world

England have dropped three places in the latest Fifa rankings to seventh in the world following the 8-0 thrashing of San Marino and 1-1 draw against Montenegro.

Spain have consolidated their position as No.1 after their 1-0 win over France, while Croatia have leapt five places to climb to fourth in the standings.

Portugal are also up two places in the list, rising to fifth, while Argentina and Germany remain in second and third respectively.

Colombia have held on to sixth place, while Italy and Netherlands have both slipped but remain in the top 10.

Ecuador have climbed one position to replace Russia in the top 10, while Belgium have climbed three places into 16th, and Denmark are up to 20th, rising five positions.

Elsewhere in the British Isles, the Republic of Ireland have risen one place to 39th in the world, while Wales have climbed an astonishing 22 places to 49th.

Disappointing results for Scotland and Northern Ireland mean drops of 11 and 22 places respectively, forcing Gordon Strachan's men down to 77th, and Michael O'Neill's team to 119th.

Ivory Coast, meanwhile, remain Africa's highest ranked team in the table in 12th position, while Japan are still Asia's best representative despite slipping three places to 29th.
