The midfielder feels Joachim Low's side boast an impressive capacity to adapt their tactics to suit different demands after Marco Reus successfully took up a 'false nine' role
Die Mannschaft deployed Mario Gotze in a 'false nine' role as a withdrawn forward in the absence of strikers such as Mario Gomez and Lukas Podolski in the 3-0 victory over Kazakhstan.
"It is to our advantage that we can play different systems," Ozil told reporters. "I look forward to seeing which system we will play next."
Marco Reus was not involved in Astana but believes he could also operate in the new position after featuring there for former club Borussia Monchengladbach.
"I played in that position for years with Gladbach, so I know how to conduct myself there," Reus said. "We have many good players who can play in that position."
Germany face Kazakhstan once more on Tuesday, and despite the relative ease in which they secured victory on Friday, team manager Oliver Bierhoff has warned against complacency.
"There are some teams in qualification which have lost important points against lower-ranked teams," the former striker insisted. "We must still be concentrated and dominate the match."
Bastian Schweinsteiger will be suspended for the match after picking up a booking at Astana Arena and Bierhoff believes Ilkay Gundogan will step into the void left by the Bayern Munich man in midfield.
"Ilkay's development is very good," he noted. "He has already proved his quality in the national team."
