thumbnail Hello,

Watch the Manchester City goalkeeper and England No.1 discuss his preparation for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil as he bids to end England's suffering from 12 yards

England goalkeeper Joe Hart insists preparation is the key for success in the "heart-rate moment" of a penalty shootout at the World Cup.

The Three Lions have been knocked out after spot-kicks in three of the last four major tournaments they have qualified for, including the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Hart is determined to ensure that is not the case again if Roy Hodgson's men do find themselves faced with a shootout in Brazil.

"It's a big moment, a heart-rate moment," he told Goal. "It's all in the preparation for me. Watching the various takers, I can prepare as best I can.

"I can prepare too with my own team-mates - they practise which in turn helps me practise trying to save penalties. I want as much confidence as I can in the preparation and then take it from that."
