The 41-year-old Brazil legend praises the 22-year-old Barcelona forward's personality as his greatest quality and backs him to take the World Cup by storm this summer

Brazil legend Roberto Carlos has lauded the "genius" of Neymar and revealed his desire to one day take charge of the Selecao.

The national side's hopes will rest on the Barcelona star's shoulders at this summer's World Cup as Brazil look to lift the trophy on home soil.

The 41-year-old was part of the Selecao side who were crowned world champions back in 2002 after losing the 1998 final to France and is confident that the current national side can go all the way with Neymar in their ranks.

He told Bild: "[I think we will win] not only because of the advantage of playing at home but because Luiz Felipe Scolari changed the way we play football in the Confederations Cup last summer.

"Neymar is a genius. He will be a key player at the World Cup. What is most striking about him is his character. Players with good judgement and confidence are needed."

The former Real Madrid defender is now in charge of Turkish Super Lig club Sivasspor but revealed he harbours lofty ambitions in his new life as a coach.

"The Bundesliga is incredibly sexy - or do you think Pep Guardiola went over there because Germany has the best beer?!" he joked. "Maybe I will be the first Brazilian to manage a Bundesliga club.

"One day I want to manage Brazil," he added.
