The Manchester City loanee is sceptical of his own chances of being involved at the 2014 World Cup but insists his Everton team-mate could be a revelation next summer

And Barry, on loan from Manchester City, is in no doubt that the highly talented youngster should be on the plane to Brazil in June.

"He could go out to the World Cup and surprise a lot of teams because he's got that natural ability. If he keeps continuing like he is, I'm sure he will be."
Barkley already has three England caps, after featuring in friendlies against Chile, Germany and a World Cup qualifier against Moldova, and Barry thinks that he will continue to improve under Roberto Martinez.
"Ross has just grown in confidence as the season has gone on. I think working with this manager is going to have that sort of impact on him," he continued. "The more he learns about the game and his position, the more he's going to improve.
“Confidence will come with that and against QPR on Saturday, he again showed what ability he's got.
"He has got that natural ability and as he learns the game and his confidence grows and grows, he will turn into a better player."
