England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed three debuts in his side to face Chile with Fraser Forster, Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana all given starting berths.
The 66-year-old has given Southampton duo Rodriguez and Lallana the chance to impress after making a scintillating start to the league campaign at club level where they sit three points off top.
Celtic keeper Forster has also been given the chance to make his mark with England’s regular No. 1, Joe Hart, starting from the bench after recent criticism of his club form for Manchester City.
Frank Lampard has been handed the captains armband on his 103rd cap, where he will also receive a golden cap from Sir Geoff Hurst prior to kick-off in celebration of his century of caps.
The Southampton duo will support Wayne Rooney in Hodgson's attack as the most advanced players in the selection with recently-praised winger Andros Townsend amongst the substitutes.
