Middlesbrough's Luke Williams and Adam Reach both registered strikes before Chris Long sealed the victory for the Young Lions in a practice match ahead of the tournament in Turkey

England U20s warmed up for the U20 World Cup with a 3-0 win in a World Cup practice match against Uruguay U20s in Antalya.

Middlesbrough’s Luke Williams and Adam Reach scored either side of half-time, while Everton’s Chris Long completed the victory for the Young Lions late on.

Williams took the ball around Uruguay goalkeeper Guillermo De Amores before finding the net for England's first, and Reach added a second shortly after half-time with a left-footed strike into the top corner.

Long then finished Uruguay off in the final minute after being played through, as Taylor ensured all 21 squad members were involved in the game.

Both teams have been stopping in the Turkish resort in preparation for the U20 World Cup, with Peter Taylor and Juan Verzeri organising the match between the sides.

The Toffees’ Ross Barkley and Tottenham’s Harry Kane also featured for Taylor’s side, who face Iraq in their opening group match on June 23.
