Liverpool striker Andy Carroll has pulled out of England's squad to face Republic of Ireland and Brazil due to a heel injury.
Roy Hodgson's side are set to meet Giovanni Trapattoni's men at Wembley on May 29 before travelling play Brazil in Rio de Janeiro on June 2.
Carroll has spent the season on loan at West Ham, where he scored seven goals in 24 Premier League appearances.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed talks are ongoing between his side and Liverpool over a permanent transfer and revealed signing the 24-year-old was the club's "main priority" this summer.
The Football Association has confirmed that no replacement for Carroll has been named.
