The 20-year-old, who joined the Premier League club last Thursday for a deal believed to be worth £4 million, fell asleep during a MRI scan while pondering his move to England
The highly rated centre-back, who arrived at Villa Park last Thursday for a deal believed to be worth £4 million, got a little too relaxed while undergoing a MRI scan.
The 20-year-old awoke an hour later to find the film crew, who have been recording the process of the transfer, and those involved exactly where he left them.
"I just wanted to get the MRI scan done quickly. Boy, was I wrong," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
"I was placed in the scanner and started a two-hour session. I have to remain completely quiet.
"I'm listening to the radio and I'm wondering what it will be like. How my new life in Birmingham will be. Will I speak English with a British twang?
"But I dozed off after half-an-hour and woke up an hour later. I just thought to myself: 'S***, this is taking a decade.'
"I started to feel a bit on edge but fortunately for me, the MRI scan was fine."
