Extra Time: Oldham ask for help removing snow ahead of Liverpool clash

The Latics are concerned that the FA Cup tie could be postponed and have called on volunteers to aid them, with a free ticket for the home game against MK Dons a reward

League One outfit Oldham Athletic have made a plea for volunteers to help remove snow ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round tie with Liverpool on Sunday.

The entire country has been hit with heavy snow during the past seven days, with a number of fixtures in the lower leagues being postponed due to the adverse weather conditions over the weekend.

The playing surface at Boundary Park is free of the white stuff for now, but to be on the safe side volunteers have been asked to help disperse the remaining snow.

And to entice people to the cause Oldham are offering a complimentary ticket to their League One fixture with MK Dons on February 9.

Paul Dickov's men qualified for the fourth round by beating Championship side Nottingham Forest 3-2 away at the City Ground earlier this month, with the seven-time FA Cup winners their opponents at 1600GMT on Sunday.
