The former Oasis frontman celebrated too enthusiastically for the Spanish authorities' liking at the Santiago Bernabeu before being silenced by Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo
Liam Gallagher was confronted by police at the Santiago Bernabeu during Manchester City's 3-2 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Gallagher, a City fan, thought Aleksandar Kolarov had secured a famous three points for the visitors but the Spanish authorities apparently did not appreciate the former Oasis frontman's subsequent vocal performance in the middle of the home section.
He was silenced, anyway, when Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo scored late goals to break City hearts and hand Madrid a remarkable victory.
Gallagher made a similar impression at the end of last season when he walked in on City's post-match press conference after they beat Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on their way to securing the Premier League title.
