Lampard trots to Royal Ascot with Christine Bleakley to ease Euro 2012 woes

After turning 34 on Wednesday, the midfielder put his England misery to one side for an afternoon of fun and frolicking at the races with his fabulous fiancee

Frank Lampard was unable to represent England at Euro 2012 this summer due to a thigh injury but he looked back to full fitness while cantering around Royal Ascot this week.

The experienced midfielder may have seen his chances to play at another international tournament fall at the final fence but he can at least console himself with his fine filly, television presenter Christine Bleakley.

While the Chelsea man may be put out the stud on the international scene, he is likely to remain an integral part of the Blues set-up under Roberto Di Matteo next season.

Bleakley looked radiant as she sipped on expensive cocktails but at one point appeared to be less than impressed... although reports could not be confirmed that Frank's horsing around had anything to do with it.

The couple are due to tie the knot later this year and more afternoons like this could see their relationship move into the final furlongs of true love.

Lampard however is a real thoroughbred and has done well to steeplechase the lovely Christine's heart. Everyone at wishes them the very best for the future!
